- - Matrimonial websites are intermediaries under Section 2 of the Information Technology Act and are required to comply with the provisions of the IT Act. Moreover, as per an advisory issued by the Department of Telecom, Government of India, verification of candidates on matrimonial websites has been made mandatory. As a candidate, select the document-based verification method to create a profile account with a registered mobile number. Note that an email is required for account creation and is not editable.
- - As per the prevailing Acts (Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, Special Marriage Act, 1954, Child Marriage Act, 2006), the age for a Bride to be 18 years and for a groom to be 21 Years.
- - All the above procedures are to be followed by the Central Government's Acts and Rules to monitor fake profiles and ensure verification. Moreover, data derived through any procedure will be secured and stored on the developer’s server.
